When several veterans of the mobility and access industry on Long Island in New York decided that the leading modular ramp products were too expensive, inefficient, and not user-friendly; they decided to start their own ramp manufacturing company, and completely reinvent the industry.
By speaking with ramp dealers and installers all over the country; as well as homeowners and end users of wheelchair ramp products, we were able to determine the various "pain points" of traditional modular wheelchair ramps. By designing an innovative product that addressed these issues, our manufacturing division here at Buy Ramps Direct was able to develop a ramp that solves the issues that installers had always faced; and a ramp that was truly user-friendly with the needs of the client in mind.
When we launched our ramp in 2017, the industry took notice. HME Magazine, a leading industry publication that covers the home mobility and access market awarded us with its prestigious "Product of the Year" Award.
