Also, it is important to know that the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) federal guidelines require no greater than 1:12 incline ratio (4.78˚) for all commercial and public walkways and ramps, but it does not govern ramp incline for private residential usage.  Our team recommends using ADA guidelines for most residential ramps.
